C25K



Several weeks ago I added a new program to my workout routine. C25K.....couch to 5k. It is a program that slowly prepares your body to run a 5k in 9 weeks. It takes someone with no running experience and builds their body up to be able to run 3.1 miles.
Prior to starting the program, I had not run in FOREVER.... I mean like at least 5-6 years. I was not sure how I was going to do, but I was determined!!!
I am now finishing my last day of week 6.... about two more weeks to go! I feel great.... there are some days that are really hard, but I push through and it is well worth it in the end. I know to some, 3.1 miles is not a lot but for right now it is to me!
The best part..... I am going to do an actual 5k in September :) I can not wait.... the money raised for the race goes to figh childhood cancer- a true test of my determination and for a good cause!!
I will be sure to share pictures and update as the race gets closer and I finish the C25K program.
