Productive Day!

Another productive day in the Christman house! I have just about finished my To-Do list (only laundry remains, which will be finished tomorrow). I have started to get organized with my packing and will finish that tomorrow afternoon.
I have a super awesome job that allows me to work from home when needed (with some prior planning). I have planned to work from home tomorrow which will allow me to finish the laundry and spend some time with the pups before we leave them for a week :( I am not sure who is more sad.... us or the pups! We think of them often while we are away.... I know, I know we are dorks!
While I work from home tomorrow, I will be updating some of our hospice information and resources that we use with patients and their families. I will be do a lot of research to update information and find new support groups and agencies available to assist patients and/or families. Might sounds a little boring, but I actually like doing this kind of stuff!
And finally - tomorrow I will not be blogging. Instead I will be participating in this:

What: Moment of Silence for Cohen

When: Thursday July 1st from midnight to 11:59 pm.

How: Bloggers participating will post the Cohen banner or simply post Cohen’s name in large letters on their blog.

Why: July 1st Megan and Brent will be holding Cohen’s memorial service. The moment of silence is an opportunity for Megan’s blog community to stand behind her and support her on this difficult day. Linking up will give Megan a chance to see the support at a glance.

With no blogging tomorrow, that will bring me to Friday- the day we leave for our vacation (Disney World). I am so super excited. We will be up early for our flight at 7am but no complaints here. I will try to update my blog sometime during our vacation to show some pictures of all the fun we are having!

Until then.... enjoy the 4th and the holiday weekend :)

To Do List....

Only one thing stands in place from me and a lovely little word called VACATION!
My final To-Do list. I like to make one before I go out of town to make sure that I don't forget to do something or pack something. I usually make two different To-Do lists- one being what I want to get done before I leave and another one for the things that I need to pack for my trip.
Currently, I am working on my To-Do list of what I need to get down before I leave! I finished a good bit of the list on Sunday and tonight, but still have a few things to do:
- Finish laundry (last minute pieces of clothing we want to pack)
- Finish cleaning- master bedroom, dining room, and clean the floor (I always like to come home to a clean house!)
- Grocery shop (my sister will be staying at our house to watch the pups, so I need to make sure that she has some stuff to munch on for the week)
- Pay bills (what joy)
- Pack (using my packing To-Do list)
- Complete last two days of work (Wednesday and Thursday)
- Print airline tickets

People who know me pretty well, know that I am kind of a freak when it comes to organization! It might be a little over the top, but at least I get things done!

Hopefully, the next time that I blog I will have most of these things done! I plan to work very hard when I get off of work tomorrow to finish all of these things! Then I can rest Thursday evening, since we do have to leave VERY early for our 7am flight Friday morning (but don't worry, I am not complaining).

T minus Four Days Until.......

VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rusty and I will be heading to Disney World on Friday and I can not WAIT :)

Rusty's 30th birthday is July 3rd, so we will be celebrating in the best place on earth- DISNEY WORLD :)

I planned this vacation as a surprise to Rusty and just told him a couple days ago... he was shocked! It was fun watching his confused face, he had to ask me like three times if I was telling the truth- haha.

I am hoping for low crowds and not so hot weather. I have been checking my weather channel application on my blackberry like it is my JOB! So far, its suppose to be in the high 80's and low 70's in the evening- I can totally handle that!

We will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Villas- we are apart of the Disney Vacation Club and will be staying at our "home" resort for the first time. We are super excited. I will try to post some pictures for everyone to see.

Until Friday, let the count down begin!!!!! I just have to get through this four-day work week!!!!

Prayers for Baby Cohen, his parents, and family

For the past six months, I have been following a blog "In This Wonderful Life" which I found through "Kelly's Korner". The blog belongs to Megan who was about three months pregnant when I started reading her blog. She had just recently found out that the little boy growing in her belly had some serious heart defects. The blog shared her story, faith, and journey through her pregnancy.
Her blog was very moving and touching- it was amazing to follow her jounry and watch the little boy grow healthy inside of her despite his known heart defects. She delivered the baby boy, Cohen, a couple of weeks ago. He was very sick, but Megan, her husband, and family continued to have faith for the baby.
Sadly, baby Cohen did not make it. He passed away last last week. I could not help but develop tears in my eyes when I read the news on the blog that was started to share news and updates about baby Cohen.
It is amazing how you can connect with a person just through their blog.... might sound crazy or silly to some, but very real for others.
I have been adding this little baby, his parents, and his family to my prayers for some time now and will continue to pray. I can not imagine how hard this must be for his family, and espeiclaly his parents- Megan and Brent.

Lovin' This Song

I can't seem to get this song out of my head the past couple of days, I thought I would share it with you all!
What songs do you have in your head??

Dinner Date = Yummy :)

Last minute I decided to surprise Rusty with a dinner date! As soon as he got home from work, I told him that we had somewhere to be at 5:45pm. We got in the my car and took a nice drive with the top down and headed to Hanover for dinner. We ate at Red Lobster.... it was soooooooooo good! The warm, cheesy biscuits just melt in your mouth- I great way to start ANY dinner.
Rusty had a shrimp platter with three different kinds of shrimp (friend shrimp, coconut shrimp, and bar-b-que shrimp)with french fries and I had Blackened Tilapia Fish with a baked potato and broccoli. I wish I would have taken some pictures, but I was too excited to start eating!!!
When we got home, we sat out on the deck and enjoyed the sun and then the sunset. It was a very peaceful ending to a nice day. It was nice to get out and do something, especially since I have to work both Saturday and Sunday! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.... when you are out enjoying the sun and doing fun stuff, think of me working the whole weekend away :(

Baby Names......

One of my favorite blogs to read (Kelly's Korner.... yes, Rusty I don't know her but I enjoy reading it) and a couple weeks back she wrote about favorite baby names. I have been wanting to a blog about this topic for awhile but have just gotten around to this. I am going to include some names that I like and some names that Rusty likes... let me know your thoughts!

**Disclaimer** By NO means does this translate that I am pregnant or trying/hoping to become pregnant, I just thought it would make a good blog idea! I am hoping that my blog readers will in return do a blog about the baby names that they enjoy! Who doesn't like thinking about cute boy and girl names :)

Girl Names-

Brianna
Jaidyn
Penelope

Boy Names-

Summer Television in the Christman House :)

Well.... as most of you know, I enjoy watching some good ol' television in the evenings (especially after a long day at work). Most of my good shows have ended for the summer....if you need a reminder of all the shows I watched, you can check out my blog titled "Way too much TV".
Not to worry, I have been able to pick up some good shows for the summer to keep myself entertained in the evenings. I am currently into:
- The Little Couple
- Real Housewives of New Jersey (sad, I know)
- Kate Plus Eight (again, sad)
- 24 (we are watching all the seasons on DVD, we are currently finishing season six!)

I am always open for more suggestions for some good shows- let me know if you watch anything else!!!!

P.S. Sorry for the long delay in blog postings.... things have been busy around the Christman house..... mostly Rusty and I being addicted to watching 24 ;)
Who else thinks that Jack Bauer is amazing and could save this whole world??? I am not sure what we are going to do without him (since the show ended this season).....

Rusty saw someone wearing this t-shirt the other day..... LOVE IT!!!!

Golden Girls and some Nachos :)

Today we remember Rue McClanahan, Blanche Devereaux from the Golden Girls. She passed away this morning at 1am from a stroke. I can not believe another Golden Girl has died- that only leaves poor Rose (Betty White) left. Anyone who knows me (even just a little bit) knows that I LOVE me some Golden Girls!!!! My favorite show of all time- I only hope to be a "golden girl" one day. My best friend Julie and I are already signed up- we are taking future applications, if you are interested :)
Here is one of my favorite clips of Blanche, from an episode called "Isn't it Romantic"!

On a side note- are you tired of having the same thing for dinner??? Rusty and I were in this situation this evening and came up with this idea- here is a picture for your enjoyment!!!!

Nachos with grilled chicken, salsa, sour cream, cheese, black beans, and peppers! They were so yummy and a nice change to the "normal" dinners we usually end up making!

On another side note- I am loving my new job!!! I finished with orientation last week and went out on my own this week. It is going well and I really, really enjoy doing home visits. My schedule is awesome (especially since I get to make my own) and the flexibility is nice.
Tomorrow is Friday and then its the weekend- can't wait! Gotta go for now- finishing up the last two episodes of season five of 24 and then its on to season six :)
