I wasn't really into following the Royal Wedding over the past several months but I couldn't help but get excited about the wedding on Friday. Not only is it something that will go down in the history books but its a reminder that true love, romance, and fairy tales really can come true.
The royal couple looked to be very happy and very much in love- I wish them many years of happiness and that they will always remember the way they felt on that very special day!!
Here are some of my favorite pictures :)
Both of her dresses were amazing- so pretty. I don't know how she stayed so calm walking down that never ending aisle.... and how William didn't just about bust while he had to keep his back turned the whole time. And.... how did those cute little kids stay sooooo well behaved for the LONG service.... amazing!

Happy Founders Day.... one day late!
I know I am one day late.... yesterday was a little busy but I wanted to say a big.....
HAPPY FOUNDER'S DAY TO SIGMA SIGMA SIGMA!
Eight very important ladies created a sorority in 1898 that has touched my life in many ways. Some of my best friends I met through Tri Sigma let along countless memories of our sisterhood that we share! Here is a picture of those eight special ladies, I bet they didn't know exactly how big Tri Sigma would become and how many lives they would touch....
I am forever grateful for my time as a collegiate at Barton College in the Gamma Xi Chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma and the many years to come as an alumni!

What a Wonderful Weekend!
Well they say all good things must come to an end, and this weekend is nothing different. I am sad to see the weekend go, it was simply wonderful with a few strange events.
We had a great drive down.... warm and sunny which made for a great drive until we hit traffic, traffic, and more traffic. The drive to NC should usually take 5-6 hours and it ended up taking us like 10 hours..... not fun at all!
Due to the traffic, we were a little late to Greek Sing at Barton College but we didn't miss the best performance of the night.... Sigma Sigma Sigma! They won, which makes it three years in a row. Their theme was Sigma Anatomy, very cute!
After Greek Sing we headed to El Tap for Mexican Food for Fred's birthday. It was a great time, with great food complete with the waiter staff signing Happy Birthday to Fred and fried ice cream!
The next day we headed to Founder's Day to celebrate our founding Sigma Sisters and our sisterhood. It was great to catch up with great friends who I have not been able to see in over a year. I didn't get to take many pictures, but here is one with our chapter advisor, Tracy. She is an amazing woman and I have no idea how she does everything that she does.... she is pretty much a living super hero!
Alex and I then headed to see little Pasilee..... I finally got to meet her (it only took one year!) She is just toooooooo cute, I just love her sweet little personality and she is so smart! Ashley is a great mom, Pasilee is a lucky girl.
Alex and I had to rush home to beat the multiple tornadoes which were all around the area... I was very nervous! I am not a big fan of thunderstorms at all, so you can only imagine how I would feel about tornadoes! We were lucky to dodge them.... although one did strike down about 5 minutes from where we were staying.... the damage that was caused to the state of NC is just so sad.
Later that night we headed out to dinner again... Japanese this time, super yummy. We returned and played some mean games of Clue.... I rocked haha! I have already told Rusty that I want to get the game....can't wait to play again!
Alex's cat, Gracie, kept us company the whole weekend. She is just so soft and pretty, I am not usually a big cat person but she is just so cute!
The weekend came to an end and it was time for us to travel back home..... but not before a trip to Bojangles, yummy!
I can not wait until the next time we are able to head down to NC, it is always a good time. Thanks Alex and Fred for being great host and allowing us to stay with you!

What I am dreaming of.....
One more day of work left for this week and then we are heading to North Carolina on Friday to see some pretty great friends!!!
I can not stop thinking about everything that I am looking forward to...... getting away for three days with my wonderful husband and all the fun things that just scream NORTH CAROLINA!!!!
Bojangles Cajun Chicken Biscuit with French Fries and Sweat Tea (so not on my diet, but oh my..... so good!)
Sunshine and Warm Weather, taking the road trip down 95 with the top down and the music blaring!!
Spending some much needed time with my fabulous sorority sisters from college.....
Eating at the best Mexican Restaurant in the area.... Chicken Fajitas here I come!!
Sweat Tea, Sweat Tea, and some more Sweat Tea!!
Celebrating Fred's 25th Birthday in style....whatever we do, I know it will be tons of fun!
Overall, it is going to be a great weekend escape.... great food, fun, and seeing friends that live way too far away. I only wish I got to see them more often!

I am Alive....
I have been MIA for several days.... I am sorry! I have been super busy....picking up some extra shifts and on-call, working out, and just staying busy with "life". But.... I am back! Nothing really exciting has happened the past week.
I am still working really hard on my diet and exercise. I am happy to annouce that I have lost 40 pounds! I am still very excited about the whole adventure and have recently been getting into some new workouts.... which I will share on another blog post.
I have to work tomorrow.... another extra shift but then I have off on Sunday! I am looking forward to this upcoming week.... four day work week for me and then we are heading to North Carolina for the weekend! I am super excited about seeing my college friends and sorority sisters.... it has been way too long! I am sure there will be a post to share all the fun memories!!
Now it is time to watch some Dexter.... Rusty and I LOVE this show! Have a good weekend :)
